Seminar Description

Day 2 Silent walkThe Initiative for Peace Building at the University of Hamburg, is an inter-faculty programme of seminars and lectures which are open to all students as free-elective courses. A unique feature of the current seminar is its academic and its human diversity. It will be structured in such a way as to maximise the potential of learning from one another. There will be short lectures, movement, discussion and debate. In small groups, storytelling and performance will be used as a means of communication. By the final session short films will have been produced. In this process, participants are encouraged to reflect on their wishes and their expectations of human migration. Analysis will become a means of reflecting on the experience from the point of view of each one’s academic discipline.

Snacks and drinks will be provided at Saturday’s lunch brake. Accreditation for the seminar can be achieved for Hamburg University students in freien Wahlbereich (2 credit points): through active participation, and a 5 page reflection paper.
